Westminster is the home of the mother of parliaments as well as Westminster Abbey so it is rightly considered to be the part of London that is most significant and valuable in historical, political and royal terms. It’s the district where monarchs and politicians have slugged it out to create a unique constitutional monarchy. It’s a place that draws historians, elected politicians, civil servants and their entourage of advisers and commentators.

As you wander through Westminster, you are traverse pages of history. Iconic landmarks like the imposing Houses of Parliament and the towering Big Ben are not just the stuff of postcards, they are the symbols of democracy and perhaps of Britain’s glorious (or inglorious) imperial provenance. However, Westminster is far from a relic of the past; it throbs with the energy of today, filled with the hustle and bustle of those who come to marvel at its grandeur and soak in its vibrant life.

The green spaces within Westminster, such as St. James’s Park, offer more than just a pause from the urban rush. When you cross the bridge over the lake there you get a wonderful view of Whitehall.

Such parks serve as the green lungs of London, blending historical depth with the necessities of modern city life. They provide a peaceful backdrop where one can reflect by scenic lakes and watch the world hurry along.

The culinary landscape in Westminster is as varied as its history. From the exquisite ritual of afternoon tea to the lively flavours of global cuisines found in its numerous eateries, dining here is a reflection of London’s global spirit.
